I love the small smile on Damon’s face when he realizes Elena has been watching him.
I love that its not a smartass smile that Damon does. His ahaha. you know you want it and I got you smile. but like a small, wow smile. Like he is genuinely happy she is looking at him.

Damon and Elena are friends. During 63 episodes, all they had between them was friendship. If it was all about sex and lust, Elena and Damon would have had sex in the beginning of this season, but it’s not. Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec stated more than one time Damon and Elena how important is the relationship Damon and Elena developed, Stelena shippers just don’t want to listen. They only made Damon and Elena kiss because they have a relationship, they’re friends. If it’s all about lust, the writers wouldn’t take time to develop a friendship, put obstacles in their way so they could overcome them and have a stronger bond after it. They would only have sex and it’s over. But the writers took care of every detail to make them work. It’s sad Stelena shipper overlook the writers work just because they don’t ship Delena. They don’t want to accept the writers were so thoughtful about Delena relationship.

About Stelena being true love I only have to ask: if Stefan was Elena’s true love why she she’s falling for Damon? When you truly love someone, like Stefan loves Elena, you don’t even look at anyone else; the person will be your world. The fact Elena is in love with Damon and even Stefan told her that show us Stefan is not her true love. If he was, Elena wouldn’t have fallen for Damon in the first place.
